Children's Mental Health Week
Week beginning 5th February - The theme this year is "My voice matters".
Children's Mental Health Week is a mental health awareness week that empowers, equips and gives a voice to all children and young people. Throughout the week, children will have the opportunity to choose from different mindful activities to promote a positive well-being, they will be reminded of the importance of Gratitude through the introduction of our 'Thank Tank' and they will discuss what is important to them with their classmates.
Nurture Hub coffee drop-in

Inside Out whole class workshops
Throughout December and January, children will be taking part in whole-class workshops led by The Children and Family Wellbeing Service. The Inside Out sessions are fun and interactive they consist of games, arts and crafts. Our next sessions will have a focus on:
- Managing emotions
- Positive mindset, mindfulness and confidence
- Friendships/healthy relationships
- Building resilience
- Positive mindset, mindfulness and confidence
Early Bird Plus Programme
If you have pupils aged from 4 to 9 with an autism diagnosis, we are offering parents the opportunity to attend our EarlyBird Plus programme from 16/01/2024. The cost of the course for Parents/Guardians will be £40, we kindly ask for payment to be brought in on the first session. The cost for professionals to attend is also £40.
The course will run for 10 weeks for families and professionals and consists of 8 taught lessons and 2 home visits.
The EarlyBird Plus course will run every morning from 9.30 – 12.00 at Hillside Specialist School and College, Ribchester Road, Longridge, Preston, PR3 3XB.
